I always wanted to put out a 'zine. The lack of a late-night Kinko's friend has held me back: I can't afford color copies. I started surfing the net two months ago and realized I could use high-speed electronic pulsations as my medium. My influences have been primarily from the hardcopy world: I read a lot of zines (most of which I buy in Portland from Chloe E., the queen of frenzied reading). Zine writers seem to have similar motivations; Katie Vawter describes her feelings of zine writing succincly in Girl Patch. To read about it click on the cat:
