- Wednesday, January 04, 2006 at 09:24:12 (PST)Word is Spider has been moved to Trauma, which sounds worse but is actually better in hospital parlance.
Here's the update for Marcia,
Okay gang, it’s all crystal clear now:
He was moved out of the ICU, and is now in a room with other patients. The unit is 4D (still on the fourth floor—past the ICU) and he is in Room 1, Bed 1.
Same hours (11am-8pm) for visiting.
XO!

- Monday, December 26, 2005 at 17:20:53 (PST)mark and i went to visit spider on sunday(christmas). it was our first visit, spider said(wrote) that we just wanted him to get better so he could haul the mousetrap around, once a smartass, always a smartass!
it makes me sad to know that someone could act so maliciously tword another human being. we really must do all we can to find the driver of the vehicle...

- Monday, December 26, 2005 at 14:47:47 (PST)YAY!
So this is great news: our boy is off the ventilator, and was sitting up in bed when we came to visit today. His fever has been retreating, although it does flare up a little here and there. His face is really swollen, poor dear, he has some serious lips going on. But that should be better over the next couple days. Please visit him this Christmas! They are diminishing his sedatives, so he should be a little sparkier. Looks like his sweet Mom will be here through the weekend...
I am leaving today for three days, back Monday. His Mom will be sending me an update each evening when she returns back to her B+B, and I will then forward it on to you all each evening as well!
Also, depending on how this all goes, he might be discharged from the hospital as early as next week! Will keep you posted on how that is developing.
Thanks all, have a very Merry Christmas, and be safe and happy.
Love to you all for everything you are, say and do,
~Marcia

- Friday, December 23, 2005 at 17:35:20 (PST)Here's an update. Will be posting them regularly. If you have any questions post them here and I'll be happy to find out.
XO,Lind
Hi gang,
I understand a few folks came by to visit our boy today, and he is doing okay. Not top-dog, however: he was running a pretty high fever today (104-105) so some additional specialists have been called to monitor this spike in his body temp and his medications. No details about what is going on/what this exactly means at the moment. Due to his fever, they did not want to attempt taking him off the respirator—time will tell. Hopefully soon! His face is swollen, but our boy is on the road to recovery.
People are free to visit him at the ICU—if he’s getting too many visitors (and not enough rest) his mom may need to monitor the number of visitors—it just depends how he’s doing... Hopefully better!
I’m going by early-ish in the day with my sis to visit-I will totally report back in the afternoon on any developments.
Thanks all for all the warm wishes and deeds going his way.
Love and kisses,
~Marcia

Cyclecide, ya’ll add a whole new element to the mayhem that is the DBB Down Hill and Mess Challenge. I heard some of you guys had to pay full price or didn't get shirts, etc...
I'll be down in the Bay Area latter this month so figure out what sizes/style (I scratch my head and scream there are still some girl shirts left?) shirts ya'll need. We're putting together a care package and I wanna make sure you guys get taken care of.
I know you do this poo cuz you luv it, and it goes without saying, but all say it anyway, you guys rock!
The Down Hill gets better every year thanks in large part to the clubs that have all contributed and represented at the events.
Hope to see you klowns here next year for our 10th Anniversary bash (might need a bigger venue, 24 kegs gone by one a.m.). Get back to me about the shirts, I here ya'll might already be on the way to Burning Man before I get there, so I'll just give'em to someone for safe keeping.
Keep it pedalin playaz,

ZooBomb requests your presence at the 2nd annual Mini-Bike-Winter celebration, begining friday the 18th (of february) and ending that sunday, the 20th. check out the "mini bike summer" link on the index page for the details, but basically we're throwing a 3 day party to celebrate the hardcore bikers of the world who ride all winter long. friday nights going to be the Drunkin Public Bike Crawl, saturday night starts with an alleycat (with different competition classes, i.e. minibikes in their class, 20in's in theirs, and big bikes in yet another class). the alleycat ends at a bike-disco party with live entertainment. and sunday is the Mini-Bike-Winter Olympics, a day full of ZooBomb style olympic events, culminating in the Tour Da Bomb, a downhill race for the prize (and again, the will be several competition classes for the downhill race too).
stay tuned to www.zoobomb.org for details and contact info.

- Saturday, October 23, 2004 at 11:05:32 (PDT)ello,
My name is Brian
I was wondering if you know anyone who would be interested in buying this 40' 1958 GMC 5108 model Bus.
The last time I drove it was on a US tour with my band and we drove it from NC to NY all the way to CA and back to NC. in 26 days.
The bus runs and drives fine. The interior is pretty much wide open... there ar 7 bunks in the very back. but its rough on the inside.
It has a Detroit 671 and 4 speed manual Allison transmission.
Im asking $8,000 but will take offers on it till I sell.
Please let me know if you know anyone who is looking for something like this.
Best Regards,
Brian

For those who know what is like to be in Tultepec, Mexico when the town has its Fireworks Festival or those who are wondering what is like (who might be traveling next year). Well, here is a link to a video clip I just posted about the burning of the bulls. It's titled "Dancing with Bulls." I hope you enjoy it.
dotmac.info/pages/16415
(Video file is large and broadband connection is recommended. Otherwise, dowload time on dial-up is over two hours)>
Of course, there other fireworks events that are not as crazy as this one, like the beautiful and spectacular tower fireworks ("castillos") competitions. I'll be posting a video clip about these in two weeks.
Blessings to all.

Do you need promotional preemptive strikes? Let's make a deal. The wacky littlebike downhill team dares you to come Zoobomb when you arrive. We meet at 10th and W Burnside on Sundays at 9pm with our cavalcade of bikes and beer. Warp zone to the top of an 800 vertical foot hill (don't worry, you don't have to ride up), commence the party at the top secret location, then a twelve minute downhill bonanza when liquid courage has set in.. For extra dare points, perform this feat on a child's bicycle!
I would love to get the wheel spinning up here because the mouths are open and hungry for it. Are there flyers to distribute?
Can't wait....

I got to ride somebody's tall bike in the mosh pit of doom at yesterdays rodeo.
It was awesome. Thank you to whose ever bike it was. Sorry about the tacoed wheel.

- Monday, May 21, 2001 at 10:18:09 (PDT)I checked out the Stvco Bike Labs this week: cool 70s bike seats adorn more choppers and more tall bikes and more insanity! Paul was there as well: to practice hand-eye-foot coordination for the bike jousting, he was wearing one black sock and one white sock. His mental acuity has been honed into a dichtomatic jousting homing device!

When you get your pics, load them up on MonkeyView. You can create an account there for free.
Yeah, the hovercraft was fun! Should we mount a pulse engine on a bicycle? A rocket bike would be fun to ride around town!

- Monday, April 30, 2001 at 12:57:27 (PDT)I contacted my freind Loretta who has some digital photos of the ferris wheel in action. She`s going to try and send them to me. Is there a way to link them into the other photos? Who should I contact?

- Sunday, April 29, 2001 at 09:41:31 (PDT)The hovercraft in Oakland was amazing Viva SRL. I made some last minute flyers with a sharpie. Is there an E.T.A. on better flyers? The Rodeo seems to peak intrest with folks," but memories are short" if we have a cool flyer to look at people will remember.

- Wednesday, January 31, 2001 at 17:18:31 (PST)Hello fellow bike freaks. Myself and STVCO have been hard at work developing secret weapons of massive bicycle destruction! Good to see you're out there causing havoc. Keep the lances in good working order as I will return for more high bike mayhem! We've been mixing it up down here in LA- being terrors in the Critical Mass and blocking traffic with our tall bikes. Not one spandex-clad bike geek has passed us by without getting run off the bike path or at least having some harsh language hurled in their direction.
That is all.
