Friday July 13<\/strong>, test your luck at the Poker Run.\u00c2\u00a0 Riders will collect\u00c2\u00a0playing cards from locations around\u00c2\u00a0SF in an\u00c2\u00a0attempt to gain the best poker\u00c2\u00a0hand. Gathering time is 6:30 pm at Gestalt Haus 3159 16th St<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0@\u00c2\u00a0Valencia St.\u00c2\u00a0Start time is 7:30 pm.\u00c2\u00a0 $7 entry fee.\u00c2\u00a0 21 and over only.<\/p>\n

Saturday July 14<\/strong>, Leisure bike ride will explore the sites and underground culture of\u00c2\u00a0San Francisco. Leaves from ACE Junk Yard at 2:00 pm.<\/p>\n

San Francisco, lock up your fixies — something dumb this way comes …<\/p>\n

The Heavy Pedal CYCLECIDE BIKE RODEO announces its third annual PEDAL\u00c2\u00a0MONSTER!!<\/p>\n

If San Francisco is the World Capital of Weird, then CYCLECIDE BIKE\u00c2\u00a0RODEO is the city\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s most notorious and hard-working ambassador for its\u00c2\u00a0two-wheeled, junk-rescuing lifestyle. The world\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s only bicycle-themed\u00c2\u00a0circus\/rodeo sideshow and pedal-powered carnival-ride midway, Cyclecide\u00c2\u00a0has wowed audiences from Brooklyn to Mexico City with its\u00c2\u00a0pedal-oriented, drunk-clown-heavy, mayhem-tastic live act and\u00c2\u00a0death-defying carnival rides made primarily out of \u00e2\u20ac\u0153pre-cycled\u00e2\u20ac\u009d bike\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0
\nand auto parts.<\/p>\n

PEDAL MONSTER<\/strong>, the annual gathering of the tribes — as well as\u00c2\u00a0Cyclecide\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s main fundraiser and hometown show of the year — will see\u00c2\u00a0marauding mutant bicycle clubs from all over the country converge on\u00c2\u00a0the Yay Area: Black Label Bike Club from nowhere and everywhere, the\u00c2\u00a0Dead Baby Bike Club out of Seattle, C.H.U.N.K. 666 from Portland, San\u00c2\u00a0Fernando Valley\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Chaingang, and the Skidmarxxx among them.<\/p>\n

Friday the 13th<\/strong>, bicycle enthusiasts of all shapes and sizes (and legal\u00c2\u00a0drinking age) are invited to converge upon GESTALT — the only bar in\u00c2\u00a0town with indoor bicycle parking — to join the PEDAL MONSTER POKER\u00c2\u00a0RUN. For a $7 entrance fee, participants will receive a bad-ass\u00c2\u00a0CYCLECIDE keepsake and clown-nose signifier. Then they\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll drink beer,\u00c2\u00a0hopefully, and embark on a madcap two-wheeled bar crawl, in an effort\u00c2\u00a0to collect the best poker hand and receive a $50 prize by the end of\u00c2\u00a0the night. There will also be drink challenges, Cyclecide theatrics,\u00c2\u00a0stupid awards ceremonies, and special surprises along the way.<\/p>\n

Saturday July 14th<\/strong>, Cyclecide hosts a leisurely sightseeing and\u00c2\u00a0underground-culture bike ride for the hangover-nursing out-of-towners\u00c2\u00a0(2:00pm ACE junkyard) … and then the Mousetrap crew and\u00c2\u00a0the Bike Rodeo put the finishing touches on their contraptions for\u00c2\u00a0Sunday\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s …<\/p>\n

PEDAL MONSTER 2007!!!\u00c2\u00a0 Sunday July 15th
\n<\/strong>
\nFollowing their standout performances at the \u00e2\u20ac\u02dc07 Maker Faire, both\u00c2\u00a0CYCLECIDE BIKE RODEO and the LIFE-SIZE GAME OF MOUSETRAP will be\u00c2\u00a0setting up all their heavy metal just this one other time in the Bay\u00c2\u00a0Area before year\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s end. Cyclecide\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s got about six or seven full-scale\u00c2\u00a0pedal-powered carnival rides on the midway now … but wait! there\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s\u00c2\u00a0more … The Mousetrap!<\/p>\n

Based on the Rube Goldbergian children\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s board game and built to\u00c2\u00a0\u00e2\u20ac\u0153adult\u00e2\u20ac\u009d scale by Mark Perez and a professional crew of idjits (most of\u00c2\u00a0whom also wear Cyclecide colors), the Mousetrap will be painstakingly\u00c2\u00a0assembled in its full glory in the \u00e2\u20ac\u0153drunkyard\u00e2\u20ac\u009d for PEDAL MONSTER….\u00c2\u00a0 Audiences will marvel as one lucky participant turns the crank to set\u00c2\u00a0the whole shebang rolling, sending bowling balls careening in and out\u00c2\u00a0of 16 gi-normous interlocking pieces fabricated from found objects,\u00c2\u00a0steel, and wood. No telling what the Mousetrap\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s sexy mice and surly\u00c2\u00a0clown-gineers will push under the 30-foot hand-built crane to be\u00c2\u00a0SMASHED under the 2-TON BANK SAFE…<\/p>\n

So. To sum up. PEDAL MONSTER 2007, July 15, at Ace Auto Drunkyard… Oh\u00c2\u00a0Lord, look at all the action below.<\/p>\n
