San Francisco’s Heavy Pedal CYCLECIDE BIKE RODEO presents:
\nPEDAL MONSTER!
\nJuly 21nd – Poker Run, bar TBA
\nJuly 22, 2-10pm; July 23, 2-8pm – Mission Village Market, 18th and
\nAlabama Streets, San Francisco.
\nPoker run participation $5, 21 and over. Carnival is all ages; $7-10
\nsliding scale. RIDER ASSUMES ALL RISK.<\/p>\n
San Francisco’s CYCLECIDE BIKE RODEO is, as always, 2 DUM 2 DIE — and
\nready to get hitched at City Hall, regardless of handlebar shininess or
\nheadtube length. In the wake of their countless tours across the
\ncountry, insane and successful hometown shows, myriad television appearances,
\ndocumentary films, festival headlinings, international fashion magazine
\nmodeling spreads (no really), and cultural blah blah and interactivity
\nthus and so on and the “for the Kids” every which way, the Honorable
\nGavin Newsom and the City of San Francisco do hereby proclaim July 22-23
\nto be CYCLECIDE WEEKEND.<\/p>\n
And in return, Cyclecide is proving its eternal love to the City and to
\nthe culture of the bike with a\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0freakish, pedal-and-contraption-centric
\ncarnival of stupid and epic proportions. Mutant Bike Clubs from all of
\nthe U.S.A. will descend upon San Francisco — from as far away as
\nSeattle, Reno, and New York — to carouse and joust and make out with local
\nhotties. The Cyclecide Bike Rodeo will run around like a chicken with
\nits head geeked off. There will be bands, shows, games, and general
\ncacophony, the likes of which San Francycle has rarely seen. Accept no
\nimitations — CYCLECIDE REMAINS THE WORLD’S ONLY BIKE RODEO AND
\nPEDAL-POWERED CARNIVAL MIDWAY! Even the mayor agrees.<\/p>\n
Fri\/21:
\nPOKER RUN. Starts at darkish. Bar TBA on cyclecide.com. Wherein mutant
\nbicycling fans and feisty cyclists are all invited to throw in $5 to
\nparticipate in a multi-bar POKER GAME involving DRINKING and BICYCLING.
\nThere will be prizes and very probably some pie-fighting and light
\npavement-wrestling<\/p>\n
